OT Training 5.20.14

Today was a weight workout day followed by my short run day. All-in-all it was pretty boring and not much to say.

I went with chest and triceps today and it went about as well as it could. I actually went a little heavier with the weights today. I think next week I might go heavier weight since I haven't done that in a while.

I took a short run today. I was pegged to go for 24 minutes and when it was all said and done I ran 3.08 miles in 23:57. This was a good run since I kept a pretty good pace. As you know I have a horrible habit of coming out of the gate too fast but today I really tried to not do that.

It was a little weird as I started off with a 7:36 pace in the first mile, followed that with a 7:57 pace in the second mile, and finished the final 1.08 miles with a 7:42 pace. I was a little surprised that my second mile was that slow but I was really glad I was able to get back into a good pace for the final mile. That is really my goal is to be able to be more consistent and finish strong and I did that today. I didn't go all out at the end since it was my easy day so I think things went well.
